Broadstone Equestrian – Booking and visiting Terms & Conditions

By completing a booking with Broadstone Equestrian, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

These terms apply to all bookings made for facilities including (but not limited to) arena hire, XC schooling, Grass DR & SJ field, clinics and organised events.

General Site Rules

  1. Dogs are not permitted anywhere on the premises.
  2. Bicycles, scooters and similar are not allowed on site.
  3. Access to the private yard area is strictly by prior arrangement only.
  4. All minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+) throughout their visit. This adult is always fully responsible for the child’s safety and behaviour.
  5. All signage must be followed at all times.
  6. Any instructions from staff must be adhered to.
  7. All rubbish must be taken away with you.
  8. Facilities, equipment and other users must always be treated with respect.
  9. CCTV is operating across the premises for safety and security reasons.
  10. Staff are not allowed to assist with any vehicle issues, you must arrange your own recovery.

Horse and Rider Rules

  1. All riders must wear riding hats that meet British safety standards.
  2. On the XC all riders must wear a body protector that meets British safety standards. Failure to do this will result in you being asked to leave the schooling field without a refund.
  3. Your horse must have had a flu vaccination within the last 12 months. (passports may be checked).
  4. Your horse must have come from a disease-free yard.
  5. Your horse must not have been in contact with any cases of strangles within the past 8 weeks.
  6. All horses must be fit to participate in the activity booked.
  7. We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask you to leave without a refund if a horse is a health or welfare risk.
  8. We reserve the right to ask you to leave if your riding/horse appears dangerous to yourself or others.
  9. Staff are not allowed to assist or help with any horses that will not load.

Carpark Rules

  1. Please park within the tarmac area at the top of the drive.
  2. Park your vehicle with the nose facing the grass around edge.
  3. You must park with consideration for others and close together to allow room for others.
  4. The overflow carpark will be open on busy, dry days but it is strictly parking for trailers and little lorries only. Big lorries must park in the top car park on the tarmac.
  5. When parking do not block any access paths or entrances.
  6. DO NOT drive on the grass up the drive. It is NOT possible for two vehicles to pass on the driveway, so do not try.
  7. All droppings must be cleaned up from the car park, paths or driveway before you leave.
  8. Do NOT feed haynets outside your lorry in either car park.
  9. Do NOT let horses eat or walk on the grass areas, you must stick to the pathways.
  10. Drive slowly and always give right of way to any horses or pedestrians.
  11. No horses/ponies are to be left unattended in the carpark unless they are securely and safely fastened inside the trailer/horsebox.

Use of the Facilities Rules.

  1. All activities at Broadstone Equestrian are carried out entirely at your own risk.
  2. We no not accept any responsibility for loss, damage or theft of personal property.
  3. Disclaimers for the XC must be signed BEFORE using the facilities on every visit. Failure to this will result in you being asked to leave the field without a refund.
  4. Access to the facilities is only permitted during your allocated time slot. Early access is not allowed.
  5. Late arrivals will not receive extended times or refunds.
  6. Some areas will be shared with other riders. All riders must be considerate towards others and ride safely, maintaining a safe distance and speed around each other
  7. All equipment must be left as it was found, unless agreed otherwise.
  8. Any damage must be reported to Amy or the yard before you leave.
  9. All droppings must be removed from the arena surfaces immediately. Leaving the arenas without any trace of droppings. You may be sent a polite reminder after your visit if this is not done correctly.
  10. If you are engaging with an external instructor it is your responsibility to check they are qualified and insured.
  11. We do not allow lunging on any facility hire except when hiring the lunge pen.

Cancellation Policy

  1. We may cancel your booking due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. You will be offered a full refund or to reschedule your booking. We are not responsible for any additional cost you may have incurred.
  2. Cancellations Policy for customers cancelling. 48 hours notice- Full refund 24 hours notice- 50% refund Less than 24 hours notice- no refund. Credits may be given at our discretion.
  3. The cancellation policy is the same for hires and lessons.
  4. Cancellations must be made by contacting Amy or emailing bookings@broadstoneequestrian.co.uk
  5. Failure to show for a facility hire will lose full payment.
  6. Failure to show for a lesson will result in getting charged the full amount.

Failure to follow our Terms & Conditions above will result in refused entry or be asked to leave. No refund will be given.

Broadstone Equestrian reserves the right to change or update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
