About Amy

Amy started riding at a young age and grew up enjoying all pony club activities with Rockwood Harriers Pony Club, especially mounted games and in her later years of pony club she enjoyed eventing. Her love for eventing grew from there.

In 2006 Amy was selected to ride for Great Britain at the Pony European Championship in Samur, France, with the team finishing 3rd and coming home with a bronze medal. In 2008 Amy was selected again to ride for Great Britain at the Junior Europeans at Thirlstane Castle, Scotland, where the team secured the gold medal. Once Amy finished school, she decided to pursue her equestrian dreams and based herself with several riders for periods of time to learn as much as she could. This included spending two years in Surrey with Pippa and William Funnell, where she gained valuable knowledge and a lot of experience.

Amy decided to return home in 2012 and set up on her own. She has enjoyed competing her small string of event horses alongside breeding horses. She has produced lots of lovely horses starting from the backing process through to competing at 4* level.

The future is exciting with a small string of horses for Amy to produce and compete for eventing and dressage. She currently trains with Ian Woodhead, Becky Moody, Andy Heffernan and John Steels. She is supported by Keyflow Feeds and Childeric.

Amy became a qualified coach in 2016 and has followed her passion for coaching.

Amy now offers a wide range of training and clinics catering for all levels and abilities. She enjoys helping clients with weekly training sessions or residential training, to inspire riders of all levels and ability. She is positive, passionate and understands all horses and riders are different, therefore enjoys adapting her training to suit each horse and rider individually.
